I have dedicated the last couple weeks to re-watching all the former Dexter episodes in preparation for the eighth and final season that starts next week. In celebration of the upcoming season, I thought I would share a poem I wrote last season for the alluring Hannah McKay.
A Love That Kills
The feeling of desire creeps up Dexter’s flesh
As he thinks about Hannah, working her garden
With beads of sweat dripping down her summer dress
Needing her
Wanting her
He ravages his way past the orchestrated rows of flowers and plants
Then sees her kneeling over her work
And moves faster now to grasp her in hand
Needing her
Wanting her
Finally reaching her, he does not hesitate to fulfill his needs
Taking her then and there
As they intertwine as lovers on a bed of leaves
Needing her
Wanting her
The fear of death could not be further from his mind
A killer she may be
But her beauty is too much for Dexter this time
Needing her
Wanting her
Lost completely in a lustful thrill
He rest his burdened head on her supple breast
Knowing damn well that this time, love just might kill
